Longital is a constant in the independent music scene, also with the original name Dlhé Diely, for over 2O years. To their credit, they have several music awards, music for theater, film and participation in on world stages..

They played in twelve countries in Europe, America and Canada, at festivals such as South by Southwest in Texas. Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová were the frontrunners on the Swell Seasons tour. The longital remix of "Everything is Under Control" by the British duo Coldcut was selected by Matt Black/Ninja Tune in the top 10 of the Ableton Live competition.

The songs always take their time, they don't rush, they are in Slovak. Personal words on a musical background awaken emotions and stories from another dimension. Longital's music models a dreamy, yet feasible world in imagination.

Shina's charismatic vocals, deep bass lines played with strings and expressive stage presence are balanced by Dan's wild acoustic guitar playing in all possible positions from soft minimalist verklijks, jazz elements to unbridled walls of sound.

povedali o nás:

We played Mauna and Dočista in the kitchen a few days ago, quieter because my son was already asleep. And I was aware that I was listening in a kind of conceptual and blocky/analytical way. I realized how strong the symphonic part in Mauna is, it's beautiful. How many intricacies Dočista hides, in the construction of the songs, in their inner time, very rich imagination. It is something different than when you just let yourself be drawn into the music, you perceive a kind of homogenous beauty, emotions, that it is beautiful, but the "intellectual" side seems to fall away. In my opinion, the brain listens then in completely different centers.

Mauna is a sophisticated album that proves the musical skill of Longital's members, but also that creating quality doesn't mean immediately creating differently. Longital is natural both in speech and something else that makes the listener feel (and justified) that they believe in what they are doing.

Uterlly is definitely an album that needs to be listened to and perceived with maximum concentration in order to appreciate its qualities. The fans understandably know this well, because Longital is not a singing group and a more demanding approach is simply required. The trend towards minimalism and introversion on the new album testifies to them, which applies several times over to the return to electronics and the collaboration with Andrej Bak.

Gloria (2008)
It reflects all the good things you liked about Long Works, but you can feel the shift to other areas. Joy speaks clearly in them, and the waves of the blue sea bring bottles full of untold news, discoveries and drawings of the beauties of the visited regions.

Šina: In Virgo (2003)
In Virgo means in a virgin. In a sign, in a feeling. Virgo is the constellation of the Virgin and in his arms is a constant Spica. My star. Clean as in the beginning, clear view. A state in which the world seems beautiful to you.

Šinadisk (2001)
Šina is the author of all songs and lyrics. From the shadows: the song was created on Dan's bass guitar riff. When the bird peng: text based on the introduction to Master Zhuang's Inner Chapters. Slavo Solovic programmed drums, samples and effects, mixed them, and mastered the final version.

September (2001)
When I walk, I put my foot in front of my foot, when I put fire, wood on wood, I have only one water, when I walk, I have only one path... It all started with this album.

Shina apart from the band Longital, also takes care of music publishing Slnko Records, where the best of the Slovak alternative is produced. She created and released several separate albums:

Analemma (2017)
The singer from Longital and Slavo Solovic recorded a frosty album for long winter evenings. Minimalistic piano, strings, brass, glockenspiel, electronics and a chilling film atmosphere.

Master a Margaréta (2001)
In the spring, Shina moved Martin's improvisations, in which you can hear hesitations, noise, sounds of a minidisk and various noises coming from the kitchen and neighboring apartments, but Martin made something of the ideas. A gateway to another world.

Daniel Salontay in addition to the concerts and work of Longital, he works as a producer, has separate albums and collaborations, for example with Daniel Špiner and Jakub Kačic:

Zaobraz (2020)
We said that we would play with the feeling like when a person gets to the instrument for the first time and is enchanted by its sound. Don't play what has already been tried. Zedzdžez is the debut album by the trio of authors D. Salontay, J. Kačic, D. Špiner.

Zaobraz (2020)
Music inspired by the paintings of Alexander Salontay, who painted all his life and did not exhibit. Quietly, stubbornly, alone, without claims to the attention of the suffocating world.

Startalker (2019)
A free ride inspired by everything Daniel Salontay has studied and dreamed about Štefánik since childhood. Recommended as a soundtrack to stargazing.
