Longital’s new album The Land Runs Down Its Own Bank flows like a river – intimate, deep, and free. Songs of joy, transience, and silence carry the listener along their own bank toward the essence.

The album The Country Runs Down Its Own Shore by Longital is a poetic journey through the inner landscape of the self and the outer landscape of the world. Rooted in Slovak lyrics yet made accessible through English translations, the songs open space for intimate reflections on joy, impermanence, and silence. The band weaves together delicate acoustic sounds, electronic layers, and a distinctive voice to create music that is both fragile and powerful. Each song flows like a river, carrying the listener along its own bank while joining a larger stream of shared experience. This album is an invitation to pause, to listen within, and to return to what truly matters.

My joy My Joy is an intimate song about our relationship to joy, which cannot be possessed or controlled. Joy is constant and unshaken, while we are the ones who keep running away and finding our way back. The music carries both gentleness and inner strength, inviting us to return to the simplicity of being.
